Venture Roundtable

CONNECT Venture Roundtables are exclusive, private, invitation-only showcases for promising emerging companies in the region. Selected entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to present to a group of premier venture capital providers and angel investors actively funding investments. CONNECT hosts four Venture Roundtables each year: Life Sciences, Clean Technology, Digital and Convergence.

The CONNECT Venture Roundtable has five phases:

1. Call for applications;
2. Pre-screening Committee review: CONNECT Entrepreneurs-in-residence review applications to evaluate venture-readiness. EIRs also provide follow-up coaching where necessary;
3. Screening Committee Meeting: Industry experts and CONNECT Entrepreneurs-in-residents review applicants and select the top ten companies to move on to the next round;
4. Distinguished Judges Panel: Industry experts review the list of finalists and select five companies based on the commercial viability of the innovation;
5. Presentations to VCs: The five winning companies present to a group of 25 investors followed by a networking reception that includes screening committee members, judges, sponsors, VCs and presenting companies.

Venture Roundtable Roadshows:
Winners of CONNECT's four Venture Roundtable programs have the opportunity to participate in CONNECT Roadshows to regions such as the Bay Area and Boston in order to accelerate their ability to access capital. CONNECT members with offices in those regions and strong venture and angel relationships host the Roadshows and invite local investors.
