2011 MIP Awards Eligibility Criteria

• The product must have been developed in the San Diego area
• The product must have been first introduced between March 2010 and September 2011 and never been nominated for this award before
• The product must have generated revenue from sales

Beta test products are not eligible for the competition. 2nd-generation (and higher) products are eligible, but the nominator must explicitly detail how the current product differs from earlier versions, focusing on the new innovation. There is no limit to the number of products or technologies each company may submit, but each entry may be nominated in only one category. In collaborative partnerships, the local San Diego partner must be an active research participant in the nominated technology.
