MIT Enterprise Forum San Diego

The San Diego chapter of the MIT Enterprise Forum is managed locally by CONNECT. Click here to go the chapter website.

About

Real Companies. Real Issues. Real Feedback. The Forum hosts ten programs annually –seven case studies, two special topic programs, and a popular summer wine social.

UNIQUE CASE STUDY FORMAT: The Forum welcomes the CEO of a local, up and coming, high technology company to present an executive overview with two current challenges facing the business. Presenting companies are privately held and have either completed a round of funding or are generating revenue to date.

MENTORING: An expert panel of advisors lends their advice and draws upon their experiences to provide feedback and potential solutions to these challenges based on their own professional experiences and expertise.

EDUCATION: These business challenges are those encountered by most aspiring entrepreneurs —including financial, marketing, application of technology, operations, management, growth, diversification, and more—everyone walks away enlightened!

EVERYONE IS WELCOME: All programs are presented in an open forum of approximately 220 guests; audience participation is encouraged. You do not need to be an alumnus of MIT to attend.
The MIT Enterprise Forum San Diego is one of 28 chapters of MIT Enterprise Forum, Inc.

Governance of the San Diego chapter is provided by a local Executive Committee and Operating Committee.  For members seeking opportunities to be more involved in the technology community, the San Diego Chapter welcomes volunteers to the Production Committee.  This committee serves as a portal to working with presenting companies, panelists, and other members through subcommittees such as Membership, Pipeline, and Marketing.  The committee meets monthly.

The San Diego chapter is locally managed by CONNECT, which serves the regional innovation economy as a collaborative resource.

Mission

Mission Statement: The San Diego MIT Enterprise Forum's mission is to educate entrepreneurs in an informative and entertaining environment in front of a diverse audience of San Diego business leaders and technologists, as well as capital and service providers.

The Forum's mission reflects the ideals of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's founders, who promoted education for practical applications. This history - rich with tradition - has evolved to one rich with innovation.
