CONNECT works to help entrepreneurs bring their innovation to market. As part of this commitment, it naturally leads that CONNECT help advocate on behalf of entrepreneurs, scientists, researchers, and the commercial market as a whole.
Public policy plays a very real role in an entrepreneur’s day to day life: intellectually property law, patent law, federal grants/aid, tax law, employer/employee standards, etc. Tech transfer and an innovator’s ability to commercialization their technology is dictated by these policies. CONNECT’s Public Policy committee is committed to working on educating the entrepreneur on public policy (both federal and local) as well as advocating on their behalf.
