We caught up with Chalk Digital's CEO and Founder Craig Hagopian to discuss investors, pitches, and MIP experience.

Why did you apply to MIP?

We applied to MIP to help build awareness among Southern California companies and potential investors about our solution, as well as to see how we stack up to other local companies from an innovation standpoint.

What was your favorite part about the MIP event?

The pitch sessions were my favorite!  The opportunity to showcase your company and solution in front of business leaders and technology experts was exciting.  Their questions and probing were centered around innovation, which was a novel line of questions to address.

What is one accomplishment/success you have had since you received the award?

Without question, winning MIP helped us complete our funding, as it helped push investors over to our deal after seeing the award and witnessing the ceremony. We took the liberty to invite some of our investors to the award ceremony., which was a great way to highlight our company. 

Any other thoughts?

Our company genuinely has a 360 appreciation for the MIPs – as a participating company, then as a mentor to companies that applied and now having been on selection committees. I know the hard work and credibility that is earned with an MIP recognition.
